AUGUSTFEST
2007: August 16-September 22
Building
Community and Creating Memories
The beginning of a school year can be an exciting
time—yet also one of
anxiety and stress. The thought of finding classes, buying books, and adjusting
to college life may seem overwhelming to students. While the first two
weeks of the semester can be challenging and critical in determining the success
of a student, Fort Hays State University wants to help ease the transition.
Augustfest 2007 is a series of events, activities, programs, and opportunities
designed to welcome and introduce you to campus life. These events are
geared toward all new and returning students, faculty, staff. Augustfest
is a time for the entire campus community to kick back, have some laughs, and
enjoy life and one another.
We invite you to take advantage of these first
few weeks of AugustFest and get involved—while creating
memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
Do you need a ride?
Several churches in the community are willing to help students
get to where they need to go by offering students transportation
during the first few weeks of school. These churches
are participating in the program.
