Exploration - Department of the Week
The Academic Advising and Career Exploration (AACE) is once again sponsoring
“Department of the Week” for students to learn more about
a specific FHSU department as well as learning “What you can do
with a major in…” that department. Thanks to Leadership Studies
for being our first Department of the Week for the spring semester! If
your department is interested in participating, contact Shelley Weilert
in the AACE office at 628-5577 or via email at slweilert@fhsu.edu.

Academic Advising Information:
- Academic Advising is required at Fort Hays State University.
TigerEnroll is not a substitute for advising. Please set up advising
appointments for your on campus students as well as phone appointments
for your virtual students.
- When meeting with your on campus freshmen advisees, review
their Noel Levitz College Student Inventory that you received from the
Student Affairs Office this Fall. Discuss if they have utilized the
services mentioned in their results.
- The Academic Advising survey filled out by students closes
for the year on February 29, 2008. Advisor results will be sent to the
departments later in March. The new survey for the year is available
March 1, 2008.
