Workshop: Your GPS to Major Exploration

Date: Thursday, May 30, 2013
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Where: 114 McCartney Hall - Fort Hays State University Campus
Cost: $30 per student 

Your GPS to Major Exploration is a workshop designed to assist high school students with identifying college academic programs that match their interests, abilities, values and strengths. Students participating in the workshop will take two career assessments, administered by Fort Hays State University's Academic Advising and Career Exploration staff. Staff will assist students in interpreting their results and identify ways to use them in choosing suitable college majors, preparing for scholarship interviews and writing college admissions essays.

Workshop participants will be provided lunch and snacks during the workshop. Participants will also have the opportunity to sign-up for a campus tour of the Fort Hays State University campus. Tours will be given after the completion of the workshop and are voluntary.

Early Registration Deadline: May 23, 2013
FHSU offices will be closed on Friday, May 24 due to the transition to university summer hours.
