The Science and Mathematics Education Institute (SMEI) developed from a strong desire to improve and embrace the education of science and mathematics in Western Kansas. By bringing together an extensive network of educators and pedagogy enthusiastics, SMEI hopes to strengthen the comprehension of these necessary skills in not only kindergarten through 12th grade and college students, but also the surrounding community    

 FHSU CSI Girls Math & Science Camp and Registration - - June 10-13, 2013

The FHSU Girls' Math & Science Camp will encourage middle-school girls' continued interest in science and math, and will help them explore math-and-science-related careers. This four day residential camp will engage girls during the summer between their 7th and 8th grades in a variety of fun and educational math and science activities, provide role models working in science and math professions, and provide social experiences designed to build girls' desire to succeed in math and science. This camp will take place from June 10-13, 2013. The cost for this camp is $200 per person and includes room and board and activity materials. Additional details regarding what campers should bring, rules, etc will be communicated following the registration process.
