Senior Companion Services

Senior Companions assist by:

Providing encouragement, grief support, reality orientation and awareness
Assisting with reading, writing letters, making phone calls, helping with correspondence and paying bills
Accompanying and assisting with grocery shopping and running errands
Helping to arrange for or providing transportation assistance to and from appointments
Monitoring medication
Assisting with meal planning and preparation
Helping with light household chores such as washing dishes, making beds, laundry or emptying trash
Encouraging and assisting with grooming, hair care and dressing as needed
Providing respite care for family caregivers

Companions are not permitted to perform heavy housekeeping functions or services involving medical knowledge or attendant care.
