Graduate Faculty
In order to teach and advise graduate students, faculty members at FHSU must be elected to become graduate faculty. The Graduate Council reviews applications for graduate faculty status.
Graduate Council
The Graduate Council meets bi-weekly to discuss issues of importance to graduate education at FHSU. The Graduate Council has authority to elect faculty members to graduate faculty status and to review all new courses numbered 600 or above for approval. The council also reviews new graduate degree program proposals and recommends policy changes related to graduate education to the graduate dean.
The current operating paper for the Graduate School found in Chapter 2 of the Faculty Handbook describes graduate faculty and the Graduate Council at FHSU.
Graduate Honors Ceremony
Each year, the Graduate School honors outstanding contributions by graduate faculty and students. Graduate faculty and students can nominate individuals for award consideration to the graduate dean.
