TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Dr. Mary Crowe is the Associate Provost of
Experiential Education at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL. Prior to
her current position she directed campus-wide undergraduate research offices at
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and at Xavier University of Louisiana.
She has been an active member of the Council of Undergraduate Research (CUR)
over her career helping to begin a new division for undergraduate research
directors as well as leading faculty and administrator development institutes.
Dr. Crowe is the 2012/13 President of CUR. She has conducted on-campus reviews
of undergraduate research programs at more than 15 institutions. She has
extensive experience in mentoring undergraduate students and most recently
involved them in her research on stealing behavior in dung beetles. Over the
course of her career she has brought in over $2 million in funding in support
of research and undergraduate research programs.
