Advisors of Student Organizations

The University requires all registered student organizations to have at least one on-campus faculty or staff advisor. In this role, an advisor will assist an organization in every way possible to have a strong and effective program. Faculty members are encouraged to serve as advisors and will hopefully enjoy this informal contact with students.

The Center for Student Involvement (Memorial Union 014) registers student organizations on an annual basis and has a number of resources for campus organizations, including the FHSU Student Organization Handbook. This handbook includes all policies relevant for student groups, as well as useful information about funding, facility use, and more.
