You may study botany, pre-forestry, plant classification, range management, grassland ecology, and fungi. Students take courses from each area to develop a broad base. Some jobs held by FHSU botanists are with the Natural Resource Conservation Service, U.S. Forestry Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, greenhouse management, hydroponics, State and Federal Wildlife Service, teaching, and research.
