Students may concentrate their studies in one of several areas of emphasis for a B.S. in Biology, or they can earn a B.S. in General Science. Most options in Biology can be completed within the minimum of 124 credit hours required by the university. These options prepare students for entry-level positions with private employers or government agencies. Many careers in biological sciences require advanced study, thus students also can prepare for further education at the graduate level at FHSU or elsewhere. For some pre-professional options, students must transfer to another institution to complete their undergraduate degrees.
