In the mammography laboratory course, Allied Health majors get "hands-on" experience with different mammographic units. |

This is a unit found most often in emergency rooms in trauma situations. This unit is used mainly for imaging extremities and for immobile patients. |

Although similar to the unit in room two, this piece of equipment is slightly different. The variety prepares students for what they will see in an actual clinical setting. With this third x-ray room, six students can always be busy practicing procedures with one being the practitioner and one the patient.

An exhibit illustrates George Sternberg excavating the world-famous Fish-Within-A-Fish. George was an internationally known paleontological collector who worked at Fort Hays State University. The Sternberg Museum of Natural History is named for the Sternberg family.
