About the Franklin Papers

After a Fort Hays State University alumnus donated two handwritten Ben Franklin letters and two pages from his newspaper, The Pennsylvania Gazette, to the university, the idea for the Ben Franklin Papers was born. After many months of planning, the project held its first event on September 28, 2006. The response to this event was so great that the event will be hosted annually.
