FORT HAYS STATE UNIVERSITY HARASSMENT PROCEDURES

The Equal Employment Opportunity Officer is given the responsibility of resolving grievances resulting from a violation of the policies regarding all forms of
harassment.

All violations should be reported to either an immediate supervisor or to the head/chair of the department or to a member of the administration.

EMPLOYEE RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

All employees should be aware of their rights to be free from discriminatory or harassing behavior.

All employees should be aware of their responsibilities to operate in a non-discriminatory manner and to report incidents of discrimination or harassment according to procedures when they occur.

Incidents of discrimination and harassment are violations of our policy at all times.

Procedures for reporting incidents of discrimination are available to all employees at FHSU.  They are found in the Faculty Handbook, the Personnel Handbook or by requesting brochures which cover specific areas from either the Equal Employment Office or the Personnel Office.

It is the combined responsibility of all employees to be aware of the procedures and to be certain that any violations of policy are reported and handled appropriately.
