on March 15th. In the 17 team field Fort Hays finished 9th overall.
The team held their own in what is considered one of our four major
contests. This is only the 2nd top ten showing in Houston for the
Tigers in quite some time. The last was in 2004 when the Tigers
finished 5th. Brian Lockman led the team with an impressive 9th
place overall finish. Brian became the first person in the history
of our program to place in the top ten at two major contests (Denver).
The remainder of the Tigers came in strong: Lacey Shapland, Nick
Noterman, Blake Denton, Craig Boggio, Roy Webb, and Alex Miller. |

Gleason. We start a new group in late December, have a great Thanksgiving. |
We had great weather
and two good contests in Indiana. At Purdue, the students and teams
aren't ranked. The students place 12 classes and give six sets
of reasons. We get feedback forms at the end of the day. Our Tigers
received a lot of positive comments about their presentation skills.
The Premier Stockman held at Frankfort hosted over 300 contestants.
At this contest the students placed the standard 12 classes and
gave the standard 8 sets of reasons. In the university division
there were 9 teams and 55 individuals competing. Fort Hays had
two students in the top ten overall: Lance Manker (10th) and Cody
Bobinmyer (5th). Even more impressive is the fact that we had three
