Born in Dodge City, Kansas, Professional career began with high school business teaching appointments at Marian High School, Hays, Kansas; and Atchison High School, Atchison, Kansas. I have held a teaching position at Fort Hays State University since 1970. At the beginning of my teaching career, I taught courses in shorthand, typing, transcription, legal office procedures and business machines. I sponsored the Pi Omega Pi Business Education Honorary Society, Lambda Chapter, at Fort Hays and served on the National Board for several years; and received the 1985 Pilot Award for outstanding teaching. Currently hold memberships in National Business Education Association, Mountain-Plains Business Association, and the Kansas Business Education Association.
