Statement of Purpose

The goals and objectives of the FHSU Alumni Association shall be to develop positive life-long relationships between the university and its alumni, faculty, friends, staff and students. To accomplish this mission, the Association will develop:

1. Alumni Programming -- work with the university in fulfilling its mission to all constituencies.

2. Increased Alumni Involvement -- promote communication of university happenings to Tiger alumni and friends in an effort to increase alumni and friends participation.

3. Financial Support -- maintain a solid financial operation through a strong membership program and other sources of support.

4. Records Management System -- continually improve upon the records management system.

5. Student Recruitment Support -- assist the university in recruitment of high quality students.

6. Awards Programs -- provide recognition programs for distinguished alumni, faculty, students, and friends of the university.

7. Student and Alumni Relations -- recognize the diversity of students and provide programs to gain loyalty and life-long relationships with the university.

8. Legislative Support Network -- assist the university's administration in mobilizing the alumni and friends to serve as liaisons in securing legislative support for FHSU and higher education in Kansas.

9. History Preserver and Conveyor -- provide programs, which enhance the university's image and build on its traditions.
