THURSDAY, September 29

Tiger Alumni and Friends Golf Tourna.m.ent - 9 a.m. Registration; 11 a.m. Shotgun Start, Smoky Hill Country Club
Four-person scramble; make early reservations as entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served, paid basis. Divisions: women, men, senior and mixed teams.

Art Exhibit - 7-9 p.m., Moss-Thorns Gallery of Art, Rarick Hall. “The Annual Art Faculty Exhibition.” Don’t miss this rare opportunity for a “close-up view” of impressive artwork from the faculty of the FHSU art department.

FRIDAY, September 30

Homecoming Registration - 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Memorial Union
All alumni and friends will want to check in at the registration desk and view biographical sketches and copies of the Reveille from all eras. It’s a great place to meet and visit with other Tigers. All pre-paid tickets must be picked up at this time as well.

Half Century Club Induction and Brunch - 9:30 a.m., Social; 10:30 a.m., Brunch, Memorial Union
Celebrate with this very special group of alumni who graduated from Fort Hays State more than 50 years ago. Get reacquainted at the social, then join friends at a brunch as we induct the Class of 1955. Honored class members of 1955 and their guests will receive complimentary tickets.

Oktoberfest - 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Frontier Park, South Main Street
Come early and stay late as there’s plenty to see and do at this popular event that combines delicious food, lively entertainment and unique crafts and vender booths.

Campus Tour - 10 a.m., Memorial Union
Join fellow Tigers on a guided tour of campus at a leisurely pace.

A highlight of every Homecoming Weekend is the recognition of individuals who have made exceptional contributions to society and the university. 2005 Alumni Achievement Award recipients are William L. Havice ’77, ’79, Katrina M. Hess ’89, Donald W. Kaufman ’65, ’67, and Robert D. Orr ’80. Young Alumni Award recipients are Mark D. Haub ’92 and LaNette Schmeidler Parker ’95, ’96. Nita M. Landrum Award recipient is Jerry D. Anderson ’59.

Purchasing tickets through the Alumni Office will assure you a lower cost, and for honored classes and reunion groups, special seating will be available. Any game tickets not picked up at the registration table will be available by 12:30 p.m. at the southeast “Will-Call” ticket window of Lewis Field Stadium.

Sternberg Museum of Natural History - Tues-Sat 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sun 1-7 pm; closed Mondays
Enjoy the Floral Diagrams of Charles Eastman and other permanent exhibitions of fossils and geology, including walk-through dioramas featuring the last age of dinosaurs and the hands-on Discovery Room.
