Programs and Services

*The Alumni Center in Custer Hall, dedicated in 1988, serves as a home for returning alumni and friends of the university and houses the national office of the Alumni Association. The Nita M. Landrum Lounge and conference room provides meeting facilities for numerous groups.

*The Alumni Awards Program presents accomplished alumni, friends, students and faculty with awards in honor of their achievements and/or services.

*The Records Information System maintains and updates more than 80,213 records of graduates, former students, and friends of the university. Addressable records include 49,066 Kansas residents, 23,947 other U.S. residents, and 1,083 in 79 foreign countries.

*Alumni meetings are held in numerous cities annually to inform FHSU alumni and friends of university events.

*The Legislative Support Network was established to serve as an advocacy network to build relationships with state decision-makers in order to develop greater appreciation and support for FHSU.

*Student Recognition Program (SRP) receptions are an alumni and admission effort. In 2005, 536 prospective students, plus parents, attended the 12 SRPs located throughout Kansas and also Holdrege, Neb.

*The Student Alumni Association involves students in Alumni Association and Admissions programs in an effort to promote understanding of alumni programs and to assist in recruiting students for the university. The organization is composed of enthusiastic students who are dedicated to service and demonstrate potential for innovative and effective leadership.

*Other programs and services include the FHSU Magazine, Graduate and Faculty Brunch, Half-Century Club, Homecoming and Commencement activities, Legislator Appreciation Day, Lewis Field Club, Tiger Credit Card Program, GEICO Automobile Discounts, Nelnet Loan Consolidation, Lifetime E-mail Forwarding, FHSU e-cards, Global Travel Program, and the FHSU-TigerTalk, the electronic newsletter designed to bring the latest FHSU news to alumni and friends.
