 Good
advancement programs do not just happen. And good alumni
do not just happen. Upon receipt of a college degree, graduates
do not magically become alumni eager to give time and money
to their alma mater. The transformation of graduates into
good alumni should start right on the campus during the
undergraduate years. The Student Alumni Association can
be a valuable resource in many ways and provide a beneficial
link between future alumni (undergraduate and prospective
students) and alumni. The organization coordinates programs
that will build lasting relationships between Fort Hays
State and its constituents by educating students and their
families about the mutual benefits of such a relationship
in order that they may become strong and involved University
supporters.
- Student Alumni Association
members have the opportunity to work with other
students on a variety of projects and to see how
the Fort Hays State University Alumni Association
and the Office of Admissions function. Members
participate in alumni and admissions functions,
meet and work with University administrators, and
interact with a wide range of alumni.
