Ward, J., Dalat Ward, Y., & Ergun, A. (June, 2016). A hybrid exchange model for cross border higher education exchanges between the U.S. and China. Paper presented at the Sias International University and Fort Hays State University international conference on Managing International Higher Education: Issues and Challenges in Cross Border Engagement. With FHSU support, we created a video which was taken to the conference on a flash drive by Dr. Joy Hatch, Vice President for Technology, and shown as a conference presentation.

Dr. Ward was a U.S. Diplomat (Washington, Turkey, Germany, and Hungary) prior to entering the petroleum industry. As a diplomat, he also traveled extensively in Latin America and the Middle East. Dr. Ward was a training, change, and communication manager/consultant involved in a wide range of Shell Oil businesses. His Shell work took him to numerous manufacturing sites in the U.S. and Canada as well as to the UK, Malaysia, and The Netherlands. He worked on-site and in numerous national and global virtual assignments. Prior to his work with Shell Oil, Dr. Ward held management roles in Egypt, Austria, and Thailand. Dr. Ward has also worked in higher education, at Graceland University (Lamoni, Iowa) and Indiana State University (Terra Haute, Indiana). He is married to Dr. Yaprak Dalat Ward.
