The College of Arts and Sciences includes the Departments of: Art and Design, Chemistry, Communication Studies, English, Geosciences, History, Justice Studies, Leadership Studies, Mathematics and Computer Science, Modern Languages, Music, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Social Work, Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, and the English as a Second Language (ESL) Program.

The mission of the College of Education and Technology is to prepare professionals for schools, business, and industry in a global society. The preparation is based on technological skills, knowledge acquired through the liberal arts and sciences, professional knowledge, and clinical experiences described by the Professional Educator Model. The instructional programs of the College of Education and Technology are offered through the Departments of Advanced Education Programs, Teacher Education, and Technology Studies.
