2009-2010 Try out Information

**Tryouts will be April 24- 25, 2009, in Gross Memorial Coliseum**
**Must be present for both days**

- A $20 Try Out Fee is required at the beginning of the first day.

- A current transcript must be provided at the beginning of the first day. Any person who does not have a current transcript on file with the FHSU Cheer Squad will not be allowed to try out until one is provided.

Tryout Requirements:

Ladies *Judges will be looking for current skills and potential for improvement -Learn/perform FHSU Fight Song -Learn/perform FHSU Chant -3 jumps-toe touch plus 2 others of choice -Preferred standing tumbling- standing back-handspring /back tuck -Preferred running tumbling - one tumbling pass of choice -Coed flyers - minimum of Liberty and full from hands -All-Girl flyers-minimum of Liberty and full from prep -All-Girl Bases-minimum of basing a Liberty and full from prep -Interview with coaches

Men *Judges will be looking for current skills and potential for improvement -Learn/perform Basic Motion Technique -Preferred Standing tumbling-standing back-tuck -Preferred running tumbling-one tumbling pass of choice -Stunning-minimum of toss-hands extension and full from hands -Interview with coaches

Try Out Process: Tryouts will begin at 5 p.m. of Friday April 24, 2009. During this time, tryout material will be taught, this time will also be used for learning and perfecting stunts, jumps, and tumbling for the following dayÕs tryout. Tryout practice will resume at 9 a.m. Saturday morning and with the actual tryouts beginning around 1 p.m. -Tryouts will take place in Gross Memorial Coliseum -Tryout Appearance-everyone must be in FHSU colors (Black, Gold, and White)    -Guys should wear athletic shoes, shorts, and uncut t-shirt    -Ladies should wear cheer/athletic shoes, tank tops/sports bras, and shorts/spandex -NO LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING    -Ladies will also be expected to wear matching ribbons with their outfits and tasteful performance makeup
