For over 20 years, MICHAEL RABINOWITZ has been on the cutting edge as a versatile bassoonist. His broad musical experience makes him as comfortable with Bach and Mozart as he is with Charlie Parker and John Coltrane. He has recorded with Ira Sullivan, Red Rodney, Wynton Marsalis, Chris Potter, John Hicks, Dave Douglas and Joe Lovano.
Award-winning composer and conductor DAVID R. HOLSINGER is the conductor of the Lee Wind Ensemble and teaches composition, orchestration and conducting at Lee University. In the past 12 years, Holsinger has served as Visiting Distinguished Composer in Residence at 11 American colleges and universities. In addition to his university duties, Holsinger serves as a guest composer and conductor with all state organizations, professional bands and university ensembles throughout the United States.
Award-winning artist THOMAS GALLANT is one of the world's few virtuoso solo and chamber music performers on the oboe. His performances have been broadcast on the BBC, Voice of America and National Public Radio and have taken him to Carnegie Hall in New York City, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago, Paris and Vienna.
JENNIFER RHYNE serves as Affiliate Artist and Lecturer in Flute at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash., where she teaches flute, directs the Sølvvinden flute choir, and performs frequently as a soloist and a chamber musician.
JIMMY CLARK is an associate professor of trombone and the Instrumental Division Chairman at Texas A&M University, Commerce. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Clark serves as the principal trombonist of the Dallas Opera Orchestra and the Dallas Wind Symphony.
ED JONES, a 1983 Fort Hays State University graduate, was appointed Principal Tuba with the Fort Worth Symphony in 2001. He teaches applied tuba and co-directs the Tuba Euphonium Ensemble at the University of Texas at Arlington.
GERALD SPAITS, one of the foremost bass players in the Kansas City area, keeps an active performing career. He's appeared with artists such as Gary Foster, The Woody Herman Orchestra, Jay McShann and Claude "Fiddler" Williams. He maintains a demanding performing schedule throughout the Midwest.
MARK SHILANSKY is a jazz pianist, composer, vocalist, and producer with four CD credits as a leader. He maintains a prolific career as artist and sideman, having appeared on over 40 CDs. Mark is currently Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies at Berklee College of Music.
