This is a gallery of photos and information about pterosaur specimens and/or forgeries that were offered for sale and either are still in the hands of the sellers or have passed into the hands of private collectors and so have not ended up in a museum. I cannot vouch for the authenticity of any of them, but still thought it would be interesting to document them. At any rate, I do not know what happened to them and so as far as I am concerned they are missing, and they are unexploited in that as far as I know they have not been studied by any pterosaur worker. Click on the photos to open up web pages with more photos, additional information, and comments on the specimens. If anyone can add useful information about a specimen, please let me know. |
