Information Management Option
Students interested in a career in health information
management (formerly called medical records administration) may
complete 80 hours at FHSU and then transfer to complete a degree
in health information management at another school. Students can
complete the 80-hour program before transferring to a school with
an intensive one-year HIM degree program. For example, the University
of Kansas School of Medicine has an intensive one-year program,
which includes 52 credit hours. Students interested in another HIM
program should contact that school for specific requirements. Advisor:
Dr.
Robert Nicholson.
