-Sales/Scouting Specialist
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Responsible for developing producer irrigation recommendations.
2.) Councils patrons on agronomic practices and application rates.
3.) Responsible for crop scouting as directed by supervisor.
4.) Maintains accurate written records on all patron fields including
recommendations, problems and topics discussed with the producer.
5.) Assists with developing the annual budget and marketing plan.
6.) Contacts patrons and sells fertilizer, chemicals and crop production
services.
7.) Works with producers on GPS programs and VRT technology.
8.) Assists with the development and implementation of GPS technology.
9.) Assists with scheduling of equipment and personnel.
10.) Relays customer complaints to supervisor and management.
11.) Assist in the supervision and scheduling of scouts and scouting
activities.
12.) Stays abreast of new technologies, application methods, equipment,
and crop inputs.
13.) Follows all company rules and policies.
14.) Complies with all applicable OSHA, EPA, and FDA rules and regulations.
15.) Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
16.) Takes An active role in promoting growth, progress, and profitability
of the cooperative.
17.) Takes and active part in building high morale within the employee group.
18.) Serve member patrons in a manner that will improve their economic
well being
and increase their patronage of the cooperative.
19.) Attend meetings and training sessions as directed by supervisor.
20.) Responsible for immediately correcting and notifying supervisor of any
potential health or safety hazard.
21.) Gives prompt courteous service to all customers.
-Field Scout - Summer Intern
Summary: To provide quality customer service and maximize cooperative profitability through the implementation of agronomic programs that use best management practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for scouting producer fields and reporting on crop conditions.
2. Collect soil samples as directed by supervisor.
3. Responsible for crop scouting as directed by supervisor.
4. Maintains accurate written records on all patron fields including recommendations, problems, and all topics discussed with the producer.
5. Assists supervisor through the collection of plant samples.
6. Responsible for staying appropriately dressed for scouting conditions.
7. Relays customer complaints to supervisor and management.
8. Gives prompt courteous service to all customers.
9. Could work into full-time position.
10. End of season bonus for a complete and good season.
