Alumni Services

Career Services offers a wide range of job search services to alumni. Alumni, especially those not residing in the Hays area, are encouraged to take advantage of the resources on our web site. Additionally, Fort Hays State University graduates may call to request an appointment to meet with Career Services' director to discuss individual employment needs. During an advising session, alumni discuss topics such as conducting a job search in a specific location, developing a network of employment contacts, preparing for interviews, and/or the use of specific Career Services' resources. Career Services has greatly expanded the services that are offered to alumni of Fort Hays State.

NOTE: If you are an alumni looking to hire current FHSU students, please refer to the Employer section of our web page.

Credential Files
Career Services maintains credential files for FHSU alumni (education majors only). Check out our credential file webpage for information about updating your credential file and for links to the online university course sheet, recommendation forms, and credential request forms.
Credential Fees
Alumni may request five sets of credentials to be sent free per academic year (September 1 through August 31). A $3 fee will be charged for each additional credential set. Please make your check payable to Career Services. If the prospective employer contacts our office directly to request credentials, there is no charge.

Fax Policy
Credentials may be faxed to prospective employers at either the candidate's request or an employer's request. All candidates (current students and alumni) requesting to have credentials faxed will be charged $5 per faxed request. Faxed requests do NOT count toward the first five free requests. There is no charge if the employer contacts our office directly.
