Registering with Career Services provides the
following benefits:

Job Listings
Job Listings is an online listing
of available full-time, part-time and internship positions.
Local, regional and national jobs are posted and updated on
an ongoing basis.

On-Campus Interview
Opportunities
Many employers conduct initial interviews
on campus during the fall and spring semesters. To participate
in an on-campus interview, you will need to register wtih Career
Services. Once you are registered, you have access to interview
schedules and to sign up for an interview timeslot. Information
about interviews and schedules is online.

Web Resume Books
Our database system, Careers for
Tigers, allows you to upload your resume on-line. Once uploaded,
your resume becomes part of our Web Resume Books. Employers
may browse through the Web Resume Books looking for a specific
major or skill.

Resume Referral
Once your resume is uploaded into
Careers for Tigers, when employers call in to request candidates
with your major, graduation date, or special skills (e.g., accounting
majors with a 3.2 GPA or December agriculture graduates), we
will email, mail or fax a copy of your resume directly to them.

| How
and when should I register? |
Registration involves completing
a registration form and uploading a resume into our database
system, Careers for Tigers. Online registration is available
at http://www.fhsu.edu/career/CfTinfo.shtml.
If you are an education
major, you will also need to complete a records release
form and mail it to (Career Services, FHSU, 600 Park St., Hays,
KS 67601) or drop it by Career Services (a handwritten signature
is required). Registration forms may also be obtained in Career
Services, Sheridan Hall 214.
It is never too early to register
with Career Services and get started on creating your professional
resume. We encourage students to register with our office as
early as possible to begin working on finding internship opportunities,
polishing interviewing skills, and conducting successful job
searches.

| How
long does my registration with Career Services remain active? |
| Your registration with Career Services
remains active until August 31 of the academic year you graduate
(i.e., Dec. 07 graduates are active until Aug. 31, 2008). You
will want to remember to update your resume, contact information,
and skills each semester to keep your registration information
up-to-date. As an alumni, you may re-active your registration
at any time by contacting us. |
