The Kansas Youth Leadership Academy (KYLA) is a state-wide, comprehensive, and all-inclusive program designed to promote youth leadership development. Today, our young people face many personal challenges and the negative influences in their lives can be overwhelming. In a society that rewards selfishness and passive attitudes, we must encourage young Kansans (12-18 year olds) to, first, live safe and healthy lives with strong character, and second, be active community members who serve as life-long citizen leaders.
