Launched in 2001 as an outreach division of Fort Hays State University’s Department of Leadership Studies, the Center for Civic Leadership is rapidly becoming a nationally recognized institute for citizen leadership development. Through its six programs (Kansas Youth Leadership Academy (KYLA), Service-Learning, Leadership Education And Development (LEAD), The American Democracy Project (ADP), Tigers in Service, and Leadership Papers) CCL provides high quality educational programs and initiatives designed to enhance civic leadership capabilities among participants.
