Citizen Leader Spotlight

The Citizen Leader Spotlight is a new initiative within the LEAD program that aims to better inform the citizens of the Hays community about the outstanding citizen leaders in our community and around the nation. Focusing on "Ordinary Citizens—Extraordinary Leadership," this program will not simply highlight those who are actively involved in their communities. Rather, the Citizen Leader Spotlight will feature those people who have dedicated their lives to creating real social change. These individuals will span a broad range of demographics and will be chosen on their ability to inspire and motivate others to become more civically active citizens.

There are two divisions of the Citizen Leader Spotlight, a series of columns featured in the Hays Daily News and a poster series, which will be displayed around the Hays community. The HDN articles will appear every three weeks, and the poster series can be viewed at various locations around Fort Hays State University, The Mall, Sternberg Museum, and Downtown Hays.
