Community-Wide Leadership Training
Workshops
| Beginning in the fall of 2006, a training series
will be available to the public to develop and enhance skills
necessary to create positive community change through social
change leadership. At these community-wide workshops, participants
will gain and improve skills necessary for social change leadership,
including how to deal with complex issues, creating a vision,
engaging citizens, and recruiting and maintaining civic volunteers.
While these workshops are centered around social change leadership,
which is geared more specifically to issue-driven or civic organizations,
all individuals and organizations can benefit from these workshops
and are invited to attend. |

All workshops are free to the public and open
to any persons interested in improving their leadership skills.
There will be no application or selection process, and all
materials are provided to participants the evening of each
workshop. Workshop facilitators include instructors from Department
of Leadership Studies, fellows of the CCL, and graduate students
from the leadership program.
The workshop series consists of four seminars.
After attending all sessions, participants will receive a
certificate of completion from the LEAD Program at the Center
for Civic Leadership at Fort Hays State University.
