Licensure as a Reading Specialist requires:
1. Two years of classroom teaching experience.
2. Nineteen (19) graduate hours of coursework.
3. Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA in all graduate coursework.

Prerequisites:
1. TEEL 481/681 Correction of Reading Disabilities, 3 credit hours, and
TEEL 480/680 Correction of Reading Disabilities Internship, 1 credit hour, are prerequisites for all courses in the licensure program.
2. All coursework is a prerequisite for TEEL 885 The School Reading Program (Practicum).
