SUBJECT: Department of Chemistry Speaker Bureau

The Chemistry Department would like to announce the availability of our faculty to make presentations to your chemistry classes.  There are several reasons for doing this.  One is to become better acquainted with high school teachers around the area and to learn what is currently happening in high school chemistry classes.  Another is to talk with students about things in chemistry that excite us.

We encourage you to take advantage of our services, which are offered at no cost to you.  Look over the list of topics on the page included with this note.  See if some of them would be useful to you and your students.  It may be that some would make good presentations for science clubs, or even other student groups.

As a final note, take time to look at the Chemistry Department’s Web site.  It has been undergoing extensive modification lately, and we’re not finished yet.  We hope to include some things that will be helpful to you as a chemistry teacher.
