The Management Development Center (MDC) is seeking businesses interested in providing internship employment opportunities for Robbins College of Business & Entrepreneurship (RCOBE) students at Fort Hays State University (FHSU). Thanks to the generous support of the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, Northwest Kansas businesses can hire a student intern at a significantly reduced cost through this program. FHSU will facilitate employment. Student applicants will be screened by FHSU representatives with each business making the final selection on the student intern.
Applications will only be selected for Northwest Kansas businesses within the 26 Kansas counties considered the Hansen Foundation territory listed on page three of the application document.
For $500, businesses can be awarded a college student intern for 20 hours per week for the twelve week summer term.
Internship opportunities may be available in the areas of accounting, business communications, computer networking, economics, finance, human resources, management information systems, marketing, operations management, tourism and hospitality, web design, etc.
With limited funding, businesses and students will be selected through a competitive selection process. Successful business applicants include a well thought-out job description, job posting, or learning objective plan. The business applications are due to the MDC by Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
