Scholarship Awards Ceremony
The College of Business and Leadership at Fort Hays State
University held its annual ceremony to award scholarships for the
2012-2013 academic year on Thursday, May 3, 2012. Over 200
scholarship donors, students, parents, and faculty attended the
event where the College awarded 112 scholarships totaling
approximately $106,000 and 20 full time graduate fellowships
totaling approximately $93,000 for the coming year.
"We're thrilled by the continued generosity of our College of
Business and Leadership benefactors who demonstrate their support
of the best and brightest of our student leaders. These gracious
contributors, like our excellent faculty, believe student success
is our business: professionally, personally, and for a lifetime,"
said College of Business and Leadership Dean Mark Bannister.
Fort Hays State University's College of Business and Leadership
offers a Master of Business Administration with specializations in
Accounting, Finance, Health Care, Health and Human
Performance/Sports Management, Management, Human Resource
Management, Information Assurance, International Business,
Leadership Studies, Management Information Systems, Tourism and
Hospitality Management, as well as a general MBA; 10 undergraduate
degrees, 11 minors, 16 undergraduate certificates, and four
graduate certificates through the departments of Economics,
Finance, & Accounting, Informatics, and Management &
Marketing. Additionally, the College offers undergraduate degrees
in Business Education- Business Teachers Licensure, Business
Education - Corporate Communication, Business Education - Training
& Development, Information Networking & Telecommunications
