The Department of Technology Studies is dedicated to providing students instruction in Communication Systems; Power and Energy, and Transportation Systems; and Production Systems so that they may become technologically literate. The Department prepares professionals for schools, business, and industry in a global society. Graduates as problem solvers will have the technological skills to utilize their knowledge for an ever-changing 21st century society.

The goals of the Department are to:

1. Provide an opportunity for students to develop an understanding of technology and its contribution to a liberal arts education.
2. To provide learning experiences for those students desiring to be teachers of technology at all levels of education.
3. To provide learning experiences for those students pursuing careers in business, industry, and/or agriculture.
