If choosing a career that makes a big impact in people's lives is appealing to you, consider a degree in Communication Disorders.
The Department of Communication Disorders offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in speech-language pathology (SLP), a degree that leads to a rewarding career. As a speech-language pathologist, you can give back to the community by helping individuals of all ages who experience communication delays and disorders.
As a major, you will learn about the characteristics of speech and the communication problems that can occur at any age. After you learn about the science of speech-language-hearing disorders, you will have the opportunity to put your classroom knowledge into practice, utilizing both traditional and new interventions with real people who present with real communication disorders.
