Style
Improving Oral English in International Speakers
Who is the program for?
Individuals who have good basic skills in English
grammar and vocabulary.
Individuals who want to build oral skills within individual and
group situations.
Goals for the program:
1. Speak English with the intonation and phrasing
of the General American dialect.
2. Use stress patterns appropriately to help distinguish meaning.
3. Practice conversational patterns.
4. Correctly produce English vowels and consonants which differ
from one's native language.
Enrollment Information:
All students will be required to register
for the following classes:
SLP 318 (Line # 3200):
Monday-Wednesday 3:30-4:20 (class)
SLP 318L (Line #3202): Arranged
(Individual and small group practice)
Location: Albertson Hall, Room 304 (Monday-Wednesday; Room
assignments for the lab will be provided in class).
* Please bring your Spring 2008class/work schedule to the first
class on January 16, 2008.
