Program The following lists the core graduate courses for the graduate program in speech-language pathology at FHSU. By clicking on the links below the images, you may view the clinical education (Category B), seminars/independent study courses (Category C) as well as the information on the academic preparation for the educational setting.
The graduate curriculum is designed so that students will meet the 2005 Certification Standards developed by the Council for Clinical Certification (CFCC) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). * The SLP 817: Research in Health Professions is a required course of the FHSU Graduate School. Students have concurrent enrollment in SLP 814: Independent Study: Research Development and then are enrolled in SLP 814: Independent Study: Research Project or in SLP 899: Thesis in Speech-Language Pathology.

The graduate program in speech-language pathology in the Department of Communication Disorders at Fort Hays State University is nationally accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). The Department prepares students for clinical certification by ASHA and professional Licensure by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
