Spring Field Trip
In April of 2008, Dr. Britten took off with 21 students and drove to Omaha/Lincoln, Nebraska for the annual field trip. While on this trip, visits were made to Boys Town National Research Hospital and the, VA Medical Center in Omaha. The next day has stops at the University of Nebraska research labs and then the MaDonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln. It was an educational field trip that permitted NSSLHA members to see the importance of clinical research in the delivery of clinical services. Each site discussed the importance of research in their daily intervention with individuals who experience communication disorders.
