2008-2009 Scholarships

Peier Family Scholarship - Celina Konrade

  • Mrs. Peier received audiological and aural rehabilitation services through the Geneva Herndon Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic. This scholarship is awarded to a graduate student who demonstrated excellence is providing services in these areas.

Marian Dreiling Scholarship - Amanda Bailey, Alyssa Baker, Megan Greer, Jamie Hageman, Kelsey Martin, Kyleigh Flax 

  • The Marian Dreiling Scholarship is provided to undergraduate or graduate students who have demonstrated excellence in their educational endeavors.

Velma Wooster Scholarship- Allison Eck

  • The Velma Wooster Scholarship is provided to an undergraduate student, who is a Junior or Senior in the program. The individual should be a major in speech-language pathology and should demonstrate excellence in academic areas.

Geneva Herndon Scholar - Celina Konrade

  • The Geneva Herndon Scholar is a scholarship provided in honor of Geneva Herdon, who was the founder of the program at FHSU. Individuals must meet the following criteria:
    • Must be committed to full-time graduate study in SLP at FHSU.
    • Be in mainstream of the graduate program.
    • Have satisfactorily completed the UG requirements in SLP.
    • Be an active member of the local chapter of NSSLHA.

H. Keith Esther (Vi) Megill Scholarship - Stephanie Kramer

  • The H. Keith Esther (Vi) Megill Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student in the program.

Geneva Herndon Scholarship - Julie Kaiser and Beth Zillinger

  • The Geneva Herndon Scholarship is also in honor of Geneva Herndon. This scholarship is awarded to a graduate student who has shown excellence in both academic and clinical areas.

  • The Communication Disorders Scholarships are funded through the many alumni and friends of the Department who give generously during our annual campaign of Tiger Calling.
