The Communication Studies Department offers
a broad range of courses leading to the Bachelor of Arts and Master
of Science degrees. Courses focus on human communication behaviors.
Coursework is designed to improve oral message sending and relational
communication skills, to foster creative dramatic talents, to develop
journalistic skills, to promote expertise in public relations and
advertising, and to prepare teachers of communication and theatre.
Communication is a field with a wide range of job possibilities
in industry, business, media, education and consulting. At FHSU
you can expect a variety of exposure leading to a Bachelor of Communication
Studies degree in the areas of communication education, general
communication, journalism, public relations, advertising, and theatre.
