Public Relations Emphasis in Communication
Studies
Public Relations is one of the most dynamic professions
in the world. Today effective businesses devote considerable time,
energy, and resources to achieve a positive public image. That's
why they hire public relations experts. Because our instructors
have practical experience, their teaching combines the theoretical
with the real-live aspects of public relations.
As a student you will study with faculty in some
of the best mediated classrooms available using a variety of technologies
including the most current computer hardware
and software. Much of your learning will involve hands-on experience.
Public Relations combines journalism, general and
organizational communication, broadcasting, advertising and art
courses into the right blend of experiences necessary for you
to pursue a public relations career. At FHSU you can prepare for
a wide range of job responsibilities and learn how to plan internal
and external communication. Complement your practical experience
with an internship at a public relations firm or corporate public
relations department for a well-rounded education.
