CTC HelpDesk Web Site Earns National Recognition

The CTC HelpDesk staff has worked hard to create a Web site that is attractive, user friendly, and comprehensive. We are pleased to announce that our efforts have been rewarded! Our site was selected by the Association for Communications Technology Professionals in Higher Education as a “Member Site to See” for the fourth quarter of 2005. The topic of that quarter’s competition was "Supporting Student Use of Technology."

Student HelpDesk Consultants who made contributions to the award-winning site design are DJ West, Curt Wilson, Katie Sluyter, Tom Zimmerman, Arieh Levy, Matt Koochel, and Duane Blaesi.

“The school’s site [www.fhsu.edu/ctc/helpdesk/] was selected based on the criteria of content delivery, timeliness, ease of use, accessibility, and graphic appeal,” according to Anna Hines, chair of the ACUTA Web Site Recognition Task Force.

The site is featured on the ACUTA home page [ http://www.acuta.org], and the University was recognized for this achievement in the December issue of ACUTA e-News and at ACUTA’s Annual Conference in San Diego, California, July 23-27, 2006.

Addressing voice, data and video communications needs for higher education, ACUTA serves nearly 800 institutions of higher education and 2,000 communications technology professionals from across the United States and Canada as well as Australia and New Zealand.
