Using Transmit to Publish Web Page Files to Your Scatcat Account

Before publishing your Web page files, you must create a public_html directory in your home directory on the Scatcat server. This step only needs to be done once. In order for your Web page files to be accessible on the Internet, they must be placed in the public_html directory when they are published.

To create a public_html folder: Log on to your Scatcat account with Transmit. From the menu, click File, and choose New Folder. Name the new folder public_html, and place it in the their stuff side. Click OK.

*Caution: Be careful not to delete or rename system or mail files in your Scatcat account. This may result in problems with accessing or using your account. We recommend using the My Documents folder for personal files. You may also create new folders for your personal use.
