Connecting to FHSU's Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Whenever FHSU faculty or staff use the Lotus Notes Client program, CICS, or their shared folders on an FHSU server from an off-campus location, they must connect to FHSU’s VPN (Virtual Private Network) first.


Connecting to the VPN requires an FHSU network login and VPN software.

If you do not have an FHSU network login or do not know your network username or password, contact the CTC HelpDesk for assistance.

If you need to install VPN software on your computer, follow the installation instructions listed below for your operating system:

After you have acquired an FHSU network login and installed FHSU's VPN software,  you are ready to connect to the FHSU Virtual Private Network.  For detailed connection instructions, see the link above for your operating system.

Note:  Your VPN connection will automatically time out after 10 minutes of inactivity.  Additionally, you cannot save your password for automatic connection.  These are security measures and cannot be changed.
