A wireless card and Windows XP, Vista or Macintosh OS X (10.3 or higher) are required to connect.

Connection Information for FHSU Wireless Internet Access

FHSU provides three levels of wireless network access to enable simplified connectivity for Students, Faculty/Staff and Guests: TigerNetStudent, TigerNet, and TigerNetGuest

TigerNetStudent

• For Students.

• Requires TigerTracks login and Web-based registration. Access is available as soon as a student's TigerTracks account has been created and activated.

• Unencrypted network providing access to public network resources. Access to the private FHSU network is restricted.*

• Setup information located at: www.fhsu.edu/ctc/helpdesk/wireless_student.shtml

*Faculty: For assistance with making information currently located on private resources available to your students through the Internet, please submit a CTC Request for Services to the Network and Servers section (in Lotus Notes).

TigerNet

• For Faculty and Staff.

• Faculty and staff log in with their FHSU network login**.

• Encrypted network providing full access to the FHSU network.

**If you do not have a FHSU network login, you or your departmental secretary should submit a CTC Request for Services to the Network and Servers section (in Lotus Notes) to request one.

TigerNetGuest

• For Guests and Visiting Faculty.

• Open network; no login or registration required.

• Unencrypted network providing restricted access to basic Internet and e-mail.***

• Select the TigerNetGuest SSID (Service Set Identifier) and click Connect. Open a Web browser.
