Video Conferences
CTELT offers a wide variety of support for video conference systems and software. We can set you up with “whole room” video conference support or single person webcam video conferences. Additionally we can assist in hosting media rich online or web meetings that require sharing computer content. All these similar but different video conference options are easily mastered with CTELT’s guidance and support.
Besides providing our best video and sound quality, Polycom whole room systems also accommodate large groups of people. Polycoms feature full-motion, full-screen video and whisper quality audio. We have many high bandwidth Polycoms to setup in practically any room on campus.
Often individuals hold conferences online that require only a personal webcam and software. We can help set you up there too, possibly with a system like Skype. Skype is effective for individual users to see and hear each other via the web. There is a free version of Skype and although you must download, install and setup an account, Skype is a practical and wonderful tool.
Perhaps along with a webcam video conference you or someone in the meeting desires to make a computer presentation to the others? Maybe that presentation requires transferring files or sharing content like documents, PowerPoint slides, or YouTube videos with the others? CTELT would be happy to assist there too with some great online meeting options such as Adobe Connect, Cisco Webex or Citrix Go To Meeting.
Besides recommending the best applications to use to host an online meeting, another great service CTELT offers is to work directly with your off campus meeting hosts to match us to their technology.
