New Staff | Articulate Presenter Case Study | Professional Conferences

New Staff

We are excited to have two new additions to CTELT in the fall: Dr. Robert Luehrs and Dr. Hong Wang. Dr. Luehrs, a retired professor from the History Department at FHSU, joined CTELT as Teaching Excellence Coordinator. He will be a consultant with faculty members who wish to improve teaching techniques.
Dr. Wang, who has just finished her PhD in curriculum and instruction specializing in educational computing, design and online learning at Kansas State University, joined FHSU as Assistant Director of the Virtual College and Coordinator of CTELT. As Coordinator of CTELT, she coordinates faculty professional development programs, designs projects, supervises CTELT staff, and manages CTELT budget.

Articulate Presenter Case Study

For the past semester, CTELT has been offering training on a new tool called Articulate Presenter, which allows faculty to deliver PowerPoint lectures to students through Blackboard. This software has proved to be very popular among FHSU faculty and we are seeing a fast adoption rate. Fort Hays State University was the first educational institution in the country to sign a site license agreement with Articulate, and this prompted the company to write a case study about FHSU's adoption of their flagship product. Click the FHSU logo at http://www.articulate.com/company_clients.html to download the PDF file for the in-depth case study.
